A source list, not a spreadsheet
Keep identity, assignment, status and a small meter visible. The selected-source inspector holds the detail. At smaller widths it stacks below the preview.
New alternative: table-first overview + optional inspector →
A stable input list, a generous source preview, and controls that explain what changes. No sideways scrolling to find the important things.
Stable slots. One source per input.
Unassigning a source keeps its input slot in place. Other pictures and controls do not shift.
Assignment retained. Reconnect this source or choose a replacement.
Selecting a row inspects it. MV includes that stable input in Multiview; it does not take a different scene to Program. Compose and Take remain in Scenes.
Name, picture, status and controls stay together through disconnects and reassignment.

Source and audio adjustments are explicitly labeled live. Lower-third text has a visible draft and Apply. Scene Builder keeps its existing Take control; this Sources redesign does not create a second way to put a scene on air.
Short operator status stays with the picture. Diagnostic text belongs in Health, and can grow without moving a live control under your pointer.
